Insertable Blade Sheeting

Midway introduces Insertable Blade Sheeting (IBS) tools using the unique Cam Loc™ blade holding system. IBS tooling offers a low cost method of sheeting using inexpensive steel rule blades. Because multiple slots may be used or not used at any given time, a single tool can do the job of many more expensive dies.

The Cam Loc™ system allows fast blade removal requiring only ? turn of each screw. Also, this unique design eliminates thread stripping so common with the conventional set screw method to hold in blades. Blade replacement "in-press" increases press efficiency and reduces run time while increasing profits.

Cam Loc™ allows the use of Midway’s lightweight sheeter design incorporating an aluminum body (to save weight) coupled to fully hardened, tool steel bearers and journals. Used with wider press widths (16" to 30" wide presses) these large repeat tools are up to 40% lighter than conventional steel tooling. Precision slot depths and indexing using Computer Numerical Control (CNC) manufacturing processes reduces "clunk" and increases blade life.
