Assist Rolls or Double Truck Assembly

Old style presses use assist rolls that are not hardened that flex under pressure. This flex causes inadequate pressure to be applied to tooling. Replacing soft assist rolls with hardened rolls increases their effectiveness and life.

Using a Double Truck Assembly is a vast improvement over the older assist rolls. Using leading and trailing bearings that rest over the centerline of the cutting tool at each bearer, this assembly maintains proper alignment of the tool to the anvil.
